Grab Partners with Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Festival 2026
In a groundbreaking initiative, Grab Vietnam played a pivotal role at the recently concluded Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Festival 2026, which wrapped up on April 5. Their strategic contributions were aimed at improving the experiences of visitors, while promoting the city’s image across various digital platforms to capture the attention of summer tourists.
A significant highlight of the festival was the launch of the "Ho Chi Minh City Iconic Eateries" Awards 2026. This award ceremony celebrated 60 exceptional restaurants and eateries that define the rich culinary culture of Ho Chi Minh City. These recognitions were based on insights drawn from the GrabFood platform and assessed through rigorous on-site evaluations. The recognized restaurants fell into three distinct categories:
- - Local Flavor Legends: This group comprised 40 establishments, celebrated for authentically representing the local culinary identity.
- - Customer Choice Best Experience: Ten establishments were honored for their outstanding service quality and customer satisfaction.
- - Rising Stars: This recognition was given to ten eateries that demonstrated remarkable growth and agility in adapting to digital platforms.
To further support visitors during the festival, Grab unveiled its Travel Pass package, specifically designed for international tourists. This comprehensive package, available within the Grab app, bundles services such as transportation, dining, and shopping at optimized prices, allowing visitors to enjoy benefits worth up to nearly VND 2.5 million per package.
Moreover, the festival showcased well-designed ride-hailing support zones, interactive experience areas, and on-site promotional offers, making it easy for attendees to access services and explore the designated "Iconic" eateries.
Mrs. Nguyen Thanh Anh, Director of Marketing and Commercial Operations at Grab Vietnam, expressed that this initiative means to honor the culinary heritage of the city while using technology platforms to bring these experiences closer to both locals and tourists alike.
The partnership between Grab Vietnam and the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism stands as a testament to how collaborative models can effectively develop tourism through technology integration. This initiative marks a considerable step forward in enhancing visitor experiences, accelerating the processes of digital transformation, and establishing Ho Chi Minh City as a modern, welcoming destination rich in culture and vibrancy.
As the tourism industry continues to evolve in a fast-paced and digital world, it is crucial for cities to adapt and innovate continually. The collaboration between Grab and Ho Chi Minh City sets a promising precedent for future partnerships aimed at enriching cultural exchanges and tourist experiences. The success of this initiative could well inspire similar ventures in other cities, ultimately showcasing the best of local fare, hospitality, and community spirit.
