Celebrating 20 Years of Globis Business School: A Journey Towards World-Class MBA Education

Globis Business School's 20-Year Evolution: From 60 to 1200 Students

Globis Business School, located in Chiyoda, Tokyo, is celebrating its 20th anniversary on April 1, 2026. Established in 2006 with the mission of fostering leaders capable of facilitating creativity and transformation, the school has greatly evolved over the years to match the demands of a rapidly changing business landscape.

A Historic Growth

From its modest beginnings with just 60 students two decades ago, the institution now anticipates a staggering enrollment of 1,200 students by 2027. The expansion of its student body reflects the global importance of its education programs, with over 10,000 alumni making it Japan's largest business school. The growth is a testament to the dedication of students who have applied what they've learned in real-world challenges, with significant contributions from faculty, corporate partners, and the community.

Over the years, Globis has augmented its offerings, incorporating robust online education and advancements in artificial intelligence, which are crucial to the modern business environment. The curriculum is designed not just for academic excellence but also to ensure practical and applied learning, creating dynamic leaders for the tech-driven 'Technovate' era, a term coined to emphasize the blend of technology and innovation.

Honoring Past Contributions and Future Vision

To commemorate its 20th year, Globis has launched a special anniversary page that chronicles its journey and highlights heartfelt messages from graduates and faculty about their impactful experiences. The page will feature interviews and video content from 20 notable alumni who symbolize the spirit of creativity and transformation the school embodies.

Globis President Yoshito Hori and MBA Program Director Tomoko Kimijima expressed gratitude to everyone—students, alumni, faculty, and community members—for their roles in building the school. They emphasized that the accomplishments of the institution are directly tied to the commitment and evolving aspirations of its community. Hori articulated the need for leaders who can adapt to new challenges using contemporary tools and knowledge.

This year also marks the 10th anniversary of the Technovate program, and Globis plans to intensify its focus on AI-centered education. The school aims to realize its vision of becoming the world’s top MBA program tailored for the Technovate era.

Upcoming Events and Initiatives

As part of the anniversary celebrations, Globis is hosting a series of seminars designed for students, alumni, and the general public. The first seminar will take place on March 26, 2026, featuring a panel discussion focused on the skills and mindset necessary for modern business leaders.

Moreover, an interactive project titled “Thank You by Your Side in Challenges” has been initiated, encouraging current students and alumni to share their stories of challenges and gratitude. This project endeavors to recognize the support systems that have aided them along their journey.

In addition, the school is organizing a logo design competition where students and alumni can participate to create a commemorative logo for the anniversary celebration. The selected logo will be used widely among the school’s community, reflecting their unity and spirit.

A Future-Ready Institution

Globis has not only evolved in terms of enrollment but has also expanded its educational framework to include innovative programs like the Technovate MBA and Executive MBA. These programs are aimed at equipping students with the tools needed to excel in a world driven by technological advancement. The goal is to continue fostering a new generation of business leaders who are prepared to embrace change and drive societal transformation.

With a commitment to continuous improvement and innovation in management education, Globis Business School is set to embark on the next decade of leadership training with renewed vigor. As they honor their past, they're equally focused on the future, ensuring that every graduate can contribute meaningfully to a rapidly evolving global landscape.
