John, a logistics manager at a sugar milling facility, orchestrates the deployment of fleets of Zoomlion tractors to maximize the sugarcane harvesting process. The sugar industry is crucial to the Kenyan economy, with over 1,000 hectares planted using approximately 60 Zoomlion machines. Additionally, to ensure optimal performance of the equipment, Zoomlion dispatches Kenyan engineers to provide immediate support at the sugar mills. Their constant presence has proven invaluable for operational effectiveness, while service teams also train local technicians, equipping them with the skills required to handle issues independently.

Meeting Climate Challenges with Innovation

The harsh climate conditions in Kenya pose unique challenges. Frequent stops on muddy roads, for instance, lead to premature wear and tear of machinery, prompting Zoomlion to improve components like brake pads in newer models. Ken Gang, a service engineer who recently returned from a training program in China, shares that this experience has equipped him to instruct Kenyan operators on safer and more efficient practices.
