Red Cliff Unveils Special Tanabata Drone Show: Flash Wish Tree

Red Cliff's Special Tanabata Drone Show: Flash Wish Tree

The company Red Cliff, based in Minato, Tokyo, is taking charge of a spectacular drone show as a platinum partner of the 2025 Osaka Kansai Expo. This event is set to run for all 184 days of the Expo, showcasing a nightly performance featuring 1,000 drones under the grand theme “One World, One Planet.”

A Dazzling Debut for the Tanabata Festival

Starting from July 7th, this year, Red Cliff will shine the spotlight on a mesmerizing special performance titled "Flash Wish Tree," in honor of the Japanese Tanabata festival. Following the typical show, One World Tree, the night will see a transformation as drones equipped with state-of-the-art luminous modules signal the joy of the festival. These drones will boast six times more brightness than regular LED lights, illuminating the visuals and creating an enchanting atmosphere suitable for the spirit of Tanabata.

Elevating the Show with User Engagement

From July 8th, the frequency of the Flash Wish Tree show will increase based on wishes submitted through a dedicated website and the virtual Expo app. Starting June 30th, additional programming allows spectators to experience a drone finishing sequence that draws a QR code in the sky. By scanning this code with a smartphone, attendees can directly access the special site, making the show more interactive and personal.

Behind the Scenes of the Drone Show

Red Cliff is excited to also reveal a special behind-the-scenes video titled The Team Behind the Sky: Red Cliff, available now on YouTube. This video showcases the dedication and creativity of the team involved in the drone shows. Viewers will gain insights into the meticulous planning behind the stunning 3D displays, logos, and QR code aerial performances, which aim to deliver unforgettable storytelling within the night sky.
