The annual Times Higher Education (THE) Asia University Rankings for 2025 have recently been released, and KIIT Deemed to be University, located in Bhubaneswar, India, has achieved an impressive rank of 184th in Asia. This marks a significant improvement from its previous position of 196th last year, highlighting the university's ongoing commitment to excellence in education and research.
A Spotlight on KIIT's Achievements
Ranked as the 8th best university in India, KIIT stands out among numerous prestigious institutions in both public and private sectors. Additionally, it holds the title of the highest-ranked university in eastern and northern India, particularly excelling in the field of sports science, where it is positioned second in the country.
This year’s rankings evaluated a total of 853 universities across 35 countries and territories, assessing them based on performance metrics related to research, teaching, knowledge transfer, and international outlook. The ranking methodology incorporated 18 performance indicators, gaining trust from students, academics, policymakers, and business leaders worldwide.

Despite being established only 27 years ago, KIIT has surpassed many well-established institutions that have been around for over 50 years.
