Countdown Begins: Worldwide Promotion for the 8th China International Import Expo Commences

Worldwide Promotion for CIIE Starts

As preparations ramp up for the 8th China International Import Expo (CIIE), the CIIE Bureau has unveiled a comprehensive global marketing campaign. Delegate teams have traveled to Europe, engaging with key stakeholders to boost participation. The first team visited Germany from March 30 to April 3, while another delegation is set to tour Finland, Belgium, and Norway from April 22 to April 30.

During the visit to Germany, the delegation attended the Hannover Messe 2025, where they engaged in high-level discussions with prominent companies such as Baden-Württemberg International, Saarland Economic Promotion Corporation, Festo, PHOENIX, SEW EURODRIVE, Schaeffler, and Deutsche Messe AG. This is significant because Germany has been a longstanding participant in the CIIE, with a strong presence in previous exhibitions, covering over 26,000 square meters at the last event.

Major industry players such as Bayer, SCHOTT, Zeiss, and Merck showcased innovative products and leading technologies, illustrating their commitment to industrial modernization and innovation.

Both Finland and Belgium, essential trade partners for China, have a history of active engagement at the CIIE. Finland, which debuted with significant contributions, expanded its involvement by presenting its fourth national pavilion featuring 18 companies focusing on sustainable mining, bio-based solutions, and food exports at the last expo. Meanwhile, Belgium, with seven years of participation in the CIIE, established this platform as an essential venue to introduce a variety of products to the vast Chinese market.

Norway also marked its presence at the last CIIE, especially noteworthy since it was the first time it set up a national pavilion to celebrate 70 years of diplomatic relations with China. Backed by Innovation Norway, highlighting 12 distinguished Norwegian enterprises and the Norwegian Seafood Council, they presented diverse products related to shipping, energy, health, nutrition, seafood, and consumer goods. The influx of Norwegian seafood exports to China reached over 126,000 tons by September 2024, reflecting a remarkable 16% growth from the previous year.

On April 18, the official 200-day countdown for the 8th CIIE launched, sparking excitement for this significant global event. Given the numerous opportunities that the CIIE offers, interested parties should visit the official website for more details and to secure their participation. This upcoming expo serves as a critical meeting point for nations to foster trade relations and explore collaboration in various sectors, underlining the importance of the CIIE in promoting international economic cooperation and development.
