Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd. (MOL), led by President Go Hashimoto, has announced the creation of a new holding company named
MOL Bay Links Co., Ltd. This strategic move aims to strengthen the foundation of its tugboat business, which is a crucial segment of the company’s maritime operations.
Effective
July 1, 2025, MOL will transfer all shares of its consolidated subsidiaries—
Nihon Eisen Co., Ltd.,
Green Shipping Co., Ltd., and
Green Marine Co., Ltd.—to the newly formed MOL Bay Links. By doing so, MOL aims to optimize organizational structure and enhance the overall competitiveness of its tugboat services while ensuring that local initiatives by these subsidiaries continue to thrive.
