Vineyard Vines Strengthens Commitment to Breast Cancer Research with Pink Lemonade Challenge Events

Vineyard Vines Supports Breast Cancer Awareness with Fundraising Events

Vineyard Vines, the popular lifestyle apparel brand recognized by its playful pink whale logo, has proudly reaffirmed its collaboration with the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF) this September in observance of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. They're not just raising awareness; they aim to make a tangible impact through fundraising initiatives centered around this crucial cause.

Co-founders Shep and Ian Murray reveal that this partnership is much more than a corporate responsibility; it is deeply personal. Their mother’s courageous battle with breast cancer inspired them to channel their brand’s influence into supporting lifesaving research. “Every day we draw strength from her resilience, motivating us to contribute towards groundbreaking discoveries,” stated Shep Murray. This initiative exemplifies the brand's commitment to combining business with benevolence.

From September 1st to December 31st, 2025, Vineyard Vines pledges to donate 10% of the sales from its specially curated Breast Cancer Awareness Collection to BCRF, with a minimum guarantee of $40,000. This collection showcases a stylish men's and women's Long-Sleeve Pocket Tee along with a Printed Tie, both thoughtfully designed to advocate for breast cancer research funding.

In addition to this collection, the brand is stepping into the community by participating in the Pink Lemonade Stand Challenge (PLSC). Founded by a then 7-year-old Brynne Rhodes during her mother's own cancer journey, the PLSC aims to engage and empower communities to support breast cancer research through creative volunteerism. On Saturday, October 4th, all Vineyard Vines retail locations will host their own lemonade stands from noon to 2 PM, committing to donate 10% of the sales during that time to BCRF. This is a fantastic opportunity for locals to come together, enjoy some refreshing lemonade, and simultaneously support an essential cause.

Ian Murray expressed his enthusiasm: “Bringing our Vast Vineyard Vines community together is incredibly uplifting, particularly as we focus on a mission so close to our hearts. The outpouring of support we see in these events inspires us and reinforces our commitment to making a difference.”

The urgency of remarkable breast cancer research remains evident, as stated by Donna McKay, the CEO of BCRF: “Breast cancer affects every community, so prioritizing research is more crucial than ever. We value Vineyard Vines’ consistent dedication and collaboration, which enhances scientific progress towards solutions for those affected.”

Vineyard Vines was founded in 1998 on Martha's Vineyard, where brothers Shep and Ian Murray set foot in the fashion realm, breaking away from the corporate grind to create products that symbolize the Good Life. Starting with neck ties, they have since expanded their brand to encompass a broad range of clothing and accessories for all ages, available at more than 600 retail stores across the globe as well as online.
