COMPUTEX 2026, a renowned global exhibition focusing on AIoT and startup innovations, wrapped up on June 5, 2026. Under the theme "AI Together," this year's lineup emphasized AI Computing, Robotics, and Intelligent Mobility, successfully attracting leading technology companies and startups from across the world.
This year's exhibition reinforced Taiwan's pivotal role in the global AI sector, welcoming a remarkable 111,312 attendees from 152 countries. Notable participating countries included the United States, Japan, South Korea, and China, highlighting COMPUTEX's significance as a major global platform for collaboration, technology demonstration, and business opportunities.
Physical AI: The New Frontiers
As AI technology rapidly transitions from virtual to real-world applications, industries are significantly increasing their investments in physical AI solutions. A report by PwC predicts that the market for Physical AI could reach an astounding €430 billion by 2030, with widespread commercial applications manifesting within the next few years. In line with this trend, COMPUTEX 2026 introduced an inaugural AI Robotics Zone, showcasing an array of robotics and Embodied AI technologies that underscore the critical transition from research into practical applications across industries such as manufacturing, healthcare, and logistics.
Additionally, the event introduced the E-paper Pavilion and TechXperience, featuring over 180 exhibitors, which further broadened the technology landscape on display this year.
Thought Leaders Discuss AI Futures
The COMPUTEX keynote sessions attracted esteemed leaders including Cristiano R. Amon, President and CEO of Qualcomm, and Lip-Bu Tan, CEO of Intel, addressing the future trajectories of AI computing and intelligent mobility. Over 6,000 enthusiasts attended these sessions, reflecting the industry's strong interest in understanding upcoming innovations.
The COMPUTEX Forum successfully brought together 28 industry experts to discuss major topics from AI computing to governance, attracting 13,200 visits and indicating a growing focus on the transformative potential of AI.
Celebrating Startups at InnoVEX 2026
The InnoVEX 2026, a pivotal platform for startups in Asia, noted a remarkable 11% increase in participation compared to the previous year, featuring over 500 startups from various countries. Taiwan, Japan, and South Korea led in participation, enhancing international collaboration in innovation. Notably, the event partnered with Plug and Play Taiwan to bolster technology market expansion opportunities.
Nine national pavilions from countries like France, Japan, and Australia showcased their innovative contributions in AI and robotics. The pitch contest further integrated resources like capital and industry insights to support emerging businesses and awarded the grand prize to RLWRLD.
Commitment to Sustainability
COMPUTEX 2026 also focused on sustainability, adapting the principles of Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle in its structure. The introduction of new categories for the Sustainable Design Award encouraged broader participation in eco-friendly practices, while key players like ASUS and Transcend Information were honored for their efforts.
The partnership with China Airlines and GQ to create the COMPUTEX Service Lounge added a cultural dimension to the exhibition, merging business and leisure effectively. Interactive installations allowed visitors to engage creatively, enhancing their overall experience during the event.
