KNIPEX North America's New Cobra® ES: Innovation in Hand Tools
KNIPEX North America continues to revolutionize the hand tools market with the launch of its latest product, the upgraded Cobra® ES. This new version incorporates all the benefits of the original Cobra design while enhancing several key features to meet the needs of modern tradesmen.
Enhanced Features of the Cobra® ES
The latest model of Cobra ES not only maintains the high standards set by its predecessor but offers significant improvements in accessibility and capacity. The existing 10-inch version (model 87 51 250) has undergone a redesign that allows for increased capacity from 1 1/4 inches to 1 1/2 inches on round materials. This change is complemented by an optimized jaw design that provides better gripping capabilities.
To bolster gripping versatility, the new jaw features front gripping serrations and a cross groove specifically designed for holding smaller, round materials such as nails. These enhancements ensure that tradesmen can rely on the Cobra ES for a variety of tasks, particularly when working in tight spaces where precision is paramount. Furthermore, the head size has been slimmed down, providing even greater access to confined areas, making it an essential tool for any toolbox.
A Compact Option for Every Tradesman
In addition to the well-received 10-inch model, KNIPEX has introduced a new 7 1/4-inch variant (model 87 51 180). This compact tool packs the same functionalities as its larger counterpart yet is better suited for those who prefer a more portable option. With a jaw capacity of 1 1/4 inches on both round and hex materials, the smaller size is perfect for tradesmen's everyday carry lineup.
According to Beverly Richards, KNIPEX's Vice President of Marketing, "The need for a reliable tool that can easily access hard-to-reach places on the jobsite is not industry-specific." This reinforces KNIPEX's belief that both new models—the 10-inch and the compact 7 1/4-inch—will be valuable additions to the kits of tradesmen across various sectors.
User-Friendly Adjustments
Both versions of the Cobra ES have retained the popular push-button adjustment feature. The 7 1/4-inch model offers an impressive 18 adjustment positions, while the 10-inch model boasts an extraordinary 25 positions. This feature allows users to swiftly adjust the tool to suit the specific requirements of their tasks, enhancing efficiency on the job.
The original 10-inch Cobra ES model has been a staple in the industry since its introduction in 2006 and has been particularly favored in automotive and maintenance applications. With the addition of the new Cobra ES options, KNIPEX is set to expand its consumer base and reach new heights in product functionality.
