Huasun Energy: Leading the Charge in Solar Innovation

In July 2025, Huasun Energy celebrated a significant milestone: its fifth anniversary. This occasion marked an impressive journey from its inception as an ambitious startup to a prominent leader in the global solar energy sector, specializing in heterojunction (HJT) solar products renowned for their high efficiency. Founded in 2020 amid a saturated PERC solar panel market, Huasun made a strategic pivot to focus on HJT technology, recognizing its superior features and untapped potential.

Jimmy Xu, the President of Huasun, shared his vision that HJT technology would spearhead the future of solar energy, stating, "I knew from the start that HJT would be at the forefront of the next era of solar energy. This technology delivers the high efficiency, low degradation, and versatility required for sustainable energy solutions worldwide."

Expansion and Production

Over the past five years, Huasun has established five production facilities across China, located in Xuancheng, Hefei, Wuxi, Dali, and Yinchuan. With a fully integrated supply chain encompassing everything from ingots to modules, Huasun has achieved an impressive production capacity of 20 gigawatts (GW). The company's products have reached over 80 countries and regions, with more than 13 GW of HJT products delivered globally.

One of Huasun's flagship products, the Himalaya G12-132 module, has set new industry records, achieving a maximum power output of 768.9W and delivering up to 730W with an impressive efficiency rate of 23.5%. These modules have been successfully deployed in large-scale solar projects operating in extreme conditions, including marine and desert environments. The advanced encapsulation technology utilized, incorporating EVA, light conversion films, butyl adhesive, and glass-glass designs, ensures exceptional performance, durability, and reliability over time.

Innovative Products for Diverse Applications

To cater to the increasing demand in varied environments, Huasun has introduced multiple product lines, including Himalaya, Everest, and Kunlun series. The new Kunlun range, offering near 100% bifaciality, is specifically designed for vertical photovoltaic applications such as agricultural lands, transport corridors, and building facades. In partnership with leading companies like Next2Sun AG in Europe, Huasun is involved in nearly 100 MW of vertical solar projects within sectors like agro-production and solar fencing. These innovations are celebrated for their ability to minimize snow and dust accumulation, enhance light capture, and reduce soil disruption.

As Huasun enters its fifth year, it has set up a pioneering 100 MW pilot line for tandem HJT-perovskite cells, with ambitions to launch a next-generation module exceeding 800W with an efficiency exceeding 25.75% by the end of 2026. Huasun’s commitment to science, speed, and sustainability keeps it at the forefront of solar innovation, providing accessible and high-performing solutions for a cleaner world.
