Sage Park Austin Receives Great Place to Work® Certification Under Watercrest Senior Living Management

Sage Park Austin Earns Great Place to Work® Certification

Sage Park Austin celebrates a significant milestone by being awarded the prestigious Great Place to Work® certification, an accolade that underscores its commitment to employee satisfaction and exceptional care. This recognition is granted by the Great Place to Work Institute, alongside its senior care partner, Activated Insights. With this achievement, Sage Park reinforces its dedication to fostering an environment where associates feel valued and empowered.

This marks the ninth consecutive year that Watercrest Senior Living Group has received the esteemed Great Place to Work certification, having consistently demonstrated an unwavering commitment to cultivating a positive workplace culture. This important milestone speaks volumes about the organization's goal of creating a nurturing environment for both employees and the residents they serve.

The certification process involved a comprehensive workplace survey completed by Sage Park associates, which evaluated various key factors affecting employee experiences, such as trust in leadership, camaraderie among colleagues, opportunities for professional growth, and the meaningful impact of their work. The results indicated a strong sense of trust and camaraderie at Sage Park, qualities essential for motivating employees to provide high-quality care.

Marc Vorkapich, the Principal and CEO of Watercrest Senior Living Group, expressed pride in the achievements of their staff: “At Watercrest, we believe that when individuals feel valued, supported, and inspired by a purpose greater than themselves, extraordinary things happen. Our associates embody our Principles of Service and demonstrate daily what it means to honor our elders through compassionate care and servant leadership.”

Watercrest's philosophy aligns with research conducted by Great Place to Work, which shows that the highest-performing workplaces thrive on trust, pride, and strong connections. The organizations acknowledged for their workplace excellence also tend to display effective leadership, innovative practices, and long-term sustainability—qualities that continue to define the culture at Watercrest.

In Summer 2025, Watercrest Senior Living Group took over the management of the senior living community previously known as Juniper Village at Spicewood Summit in Austin, Texas. This transition began on August 1st, introducing a rebranding as Sage Park Austin. Additionally, this expansion extended Watercrest’s operations into Texas, allowing for the establishment of two more communities named Sage Park San Antonio and Sage Park Guadalupe.

Sage Park Austin also received notable recognition from U.S. News & World Report, achieving the title of “Best in Nursing Homes/Short Term Rehabilitation” for 2025–26 with an outstanding score of 5.0 out of 5.0 in overall ratings. The community provides vital services, including assisted living, short-term rehabilitation, and long-term skilled care, all designed with signature programming aimed at achieving personal wellness and promoting healthy aging.

Conveniently situated at 4401 Spicewood Springs Road in northwest Austin, Sage Park Austin offers easy access to St. David's North Austin Medical Center, Ascension Seton Northwest Hospital, and numerous medical professionals. Those interested in scheduling a tour of the community can reach out at 737-530-7729.

The certification by Great Place to Work encompasses all senior living communities operating under the Watercrest brand, which includes Sage Park Senior Living communities, Pelican Landing Assisted Living and Memory Care, and LifeBUILT Architecture.
