Cosmo Energy Holdings, under the leadership of President Shigeru Yamada, has announced an exciting enhancement to its mobile application, the Cosmo Official App. Starting June 1, 2026, users can take advantage of the newly introduced feature called App Refueling Settings, designed to streamline and accelerate the process of refueling at gas stations across Japan.

What is the App Refueling Settings?

The App Refueling Settings allows users to pre-set up to three different configurations on the app, which simplifies the process at the pump. Users can specify their preferred fuel type, desired fuel amount (or budget), whether to use common points (to earn or redeem), and the payment method (with or without Cosmo SS Pay).

When you arrive at a participating station, simply hold your app's QR code up to the pump. Not only will any applicable discounts be applied, but all your pre-set preferences will automatically be activated. This means you can spend less time fiddling with your phone at the station and more time getting back on the road. The goal is to enhance convenience and significantly reduce the time you need to spend at gas stations.

As of March 2026, the App Refueling Settings can be accessed at 1,041 locations nationwide across Cosmo Service Stations that offer app compatibility. Please note, however, that not all locations will support Cosmo SS Pay or the App Refueling Settings feature. Therefore, we encourage users to check our app for specific location details.

1. When selecting common points, if you choose WAON POINT, you must have either the Cosmo The Card Opus or the Aeon Card registered with Cosmo SS Pay.

3. At full-service gas stations, only the QR code scanning features for discounts, common points, and Cosmo SS Pay transactions will be activated.
