Get Ready for the 2026 SUPER FORMULA Testing Event!
Great news for motorsport enthusiasts in San Francisco and beyond! The excitement is building as the countdown to the 2026 SUPER FORMULA season begins. The Japan Race Promotion (JRP), which oversees the prestigious all-Japan SUPER FORMULA Championship, has announced the dates for the highly anticipated collaborative tests and rookie tests. This exciting event is set to take place at the iconic Suzuka Circuit in Mie Prefecture from December 10th to 12th, 2025.
What to Expect
With the thrilling 2025 season concluding in spectacular fashion, including an unprecedented surge in attendance with 264,000 fans—126% more than the previous year—the atmosphere is electric at Suzuka. This event marks a significant opportunity for teams and drivers, providing a rare chance to test their vehicles and strategies ahead of the new season. Following the previous year’s fierce competition, fans can expect nothing short of an exhilarating experience!
The 2026 season promises to kick off with heightened intensity, especially as teams look to reclaim glory after the epic battles of 2025. Notably, the new champion, Ayumu Iwasa (TEAM MUGEN, No. 15), has set the bar high, and expectations are soaring.
Schedule for the Testing Event
This year-end tradition, the collaborative tests and rookie tests, is especially crucial for teams and drivers in the SUPER FORMULA series, whose driving opportunities are limited. Sessions on the first two days have been expanded due to additional running time allocated for the official test that was rescheduled due to snow. Day three, December 12th, will feature a rookie test exclusively for drivers with less than four race participations in the SUPER FORMULA.
