Fractal Workout Initiates Support for Exercise Post Health Checks
Fractal Workout Co., based in Shibuya, Tokyo, has launched a new initiative aimed at assisting health screening providers, corporate health clinics, and medical facilities in identifying suitable exercise support options for individuals following health check evaluations. This project involves a partnership with approved exercise therapy facilities designated by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare, streamlining the transition from diagnosis to appropriate physical activity.
Addressing the Challenges Post Health Screening
After a health check, patients are typically provided with information about their results, health guidance, referral advice, and encouraged to reassess their lifestyle habits. However, many recipients of exercise recommendations face several obstacles when trying to incorporate physical activity into their lives:
- - Uncertainty about what type of exercise is appropriate.
- - Anxiety about attending a regular fitness center.
- - Difficulty maintaining motivation when exercising alone.
- - Challenges in finding a facility that accommodates their health conditions or medications.
- - Lack of exercise equipment and guidance within the screening facility.
- - Absence of a defined exercise program following health advisories.
The new collaboration aims to delineate roles clearly—health screening providers will focus on medical assessments and guidance, while Fractal Workout will cover exercise support.
Categorizing Post-Health Check Patients
Fractal Workout's support system will categorize patients post-screening into three main groups:
1.
Patients Requiring Medical Attention:
Those who exhibit abnormal results will prioritize necessary follow-up tests, advanced examinations, and consultations with healthcare providers. Fractal Workout will not assess disease risk or exercise clarity based solely on screening results.
2.
Patients Cleared for Exercise by Their Doctors:
Individuals classified under hypertension, diabetes, lipid abnormalities, or obesity, who receive an exercise therapy prescription from their healthcare provider, may consider participating in Fractal Workout's programs.
3.
Patients Seeking General Health Improvement:
Those not requiring treatment-based exercise therapy can also consult for general health promotion, contingent on a medical confirmation that there are no exercise restrictions.
The processes for managing therapeutic exercise and general health, including contracts, records, and communication methods, will be independently categorized.
