Power Base Opens Doors for Setouchi International Art Festival 2025

In an exciting collaboration, Power X Corporation, headquartered in Minato-ku, Tokyo and led by CEO Masahiro Ito, is set to unveil contemporary art at the upcoming "Setouchi International Art Festival 2025". This biannual event, which transforms the islands and coastal areas of the Setouchi region into a vibrant exhibition space, will include the company's factory, Power Base, located in Tamano City, Okayama Prefecture, as an official venue starting May 1, 2025.

A Unique Venue Designed by Kazuyo Sejima

Power Base, an innovative facility designed by renowned architect Kazuyo Sejima, specializes in the manufacturing of advanced technologies such as the "Hypercharger," a type of ultra-rapid EV charger. The exhibition will feature the work of artist Teppei Kaneuji, titled "Model of Something." This engaging piece employs transparent materials adorned with freehand stripes that create complex, three-dimensional patterns, reflecting the dynamic interplay between nature and technology.

Pop-Up Cafe at Power Base

During the festival, attendees will also be able to enjoy a temporary popup cafe operated by the local coffee stand, BOLLARD COFFEE. Located within the Power Base, the cafe will offer a delightful menu in collaboration with the prestigious Japanese restaurant Aoyagi from Azabudai, Tokyo. Notable items include the exclusive "Denki Bidango" and "Denki Binade" which are sure to please both art lovers and food aficionados alike.
