The Japanese government’s Sports Agency is pleased to announce that entries are now open for the 5th Sport in Life Awards, aimed at recognizing initiatives that contribute to the growth of sports participation. This year's award application period runs until December 12.

The Sport in Life Awards celebrate innovative practices that promote sports and encourage community involvement. The recipients will be featured on the official Sport in Life website, serving as models to inspire more citizens to engage in sports.

Eligibility Criteria

The awards welcome submissions from various organizations, including:

- Local governments and related organizations
- Sports associations and governing bodies
- Educational institutions
- Medical and welfare organizations
- Private enterprises

Eligible initiatives must be implemented or initiated after April 1, 2023, and must contribute to the Sport in Life concept.

Application Requirements

In addition to being within the above categories, applicants must be members of the Sport in Life Consortium. Those who have not applied for membership are encouraged to do so along with their award submissions.
