Huawei Unveils Enhanced Stellar Intelligent Fabric for the European Data Center Market at HNS 2026
Huawei's Stellar Intelligent Fabric Launch at HNS 2026
On October 20, 2026, industry leaders convened at the Huawei Network Summit 2026 (HNS 2026) in Florence, Italy, to discuss the future of data center networks in Europe. This summit served as a platform for the unveiling of Huawei's latest updates to its Stellar Intelligent Fabric, designed for enhancing efficiency and resilience in modern data centers.
During an executive roundtable titled "Resilient Networks Forged by Intelligence: Building Next-Gen Open Data Center Networks in Europe," key insights were shared regarding industry trends and technological advances shaping the future of data center infrastructure.
Bingyu Zhou, the Vice Director of Huawei's European ICT Marketing Solution Sales Department, opened the session by emphasizing the transformative impact of intelligence on global industries over the upcoming decade. He highlighted a significant strategic opportunity for Europe, as Huawei’s highly scalable, productive, and low-energy solutions align with the region's digitalization and sustainability efforts. Huawei aims to enhance regional partnerships to develop open network infrastructures that support this vision.
Johnny Cheng, Vice President of the Data Center Network Domain within Huawei's Data Communication Product Line, addressed the increasing scale and complexity of data centers, which present challenges to operational efficiency. In this context, he introduced the Stellar Intelligent Ultra-Resilient Fabric, capable of eliminating single points of failure and safeguarding critical workloads through advanced technologies like StarryWing Digital Map 2.0 and Rock-Solid Architecture 2.0.
Articulating the real-world benefits of this solution, Mesut ÖZCA, Solutions Manager at KoçSistem, shared how their collaboration with Huawei had led to modernizing their data center’s resilience. By utilizing the StarryWing Digital Map, KoçSistem has implemented a multi-DC topology that ensures self-healing network capabilities across their centers, maintaining service continuity even during localized hardware failures.
The discussions also included a focus on the role of artificial intelligence in revolutionizing infrastructure. Aldo Artigiani, Technical Officer of the Interconnect Working Group at OEHI, reiterated the necessity for robust AI foundations as a prerequisite for an intelligent world. He noted ongoing efforts by international standards bodies such as ITU-T to establish Ethernet standards aimed at AI and High-Performance Computing (HPC), enabling higher performance and optimized total cost of ownership (TCO). Artigiani encouraged the industry to advance collectively by embracing open Ethernet standards.
Looking ahead, Huawei is committed to maintaining open collaboration and fostering technical innovation across Europe. By strengthening partnerships, Huawei envisions significant advancements in data center network architectures, contributing to a more sustainable and high-quality digital economy.
As Huawei continues its journey of innovation, the Stellar Intelligent Fabric is a testament to its readiness to tackle the demands of modern data centers, aligning perfectly with the overarching goals of resilience, efficiency, and sustainability being sought by businesses throughout Europe.
