In a bid to inspire the next generation of hospitality professionals, Kyoritsu Maintenance Co., the company operating the Dormy Inn chain of business hotels, is hosting a unique career experience program called the "DOMINISTA CHALLENGE" on July 27-28, 2026, specifically aimed at high school students from Takasaki Commercial High School. This opportunity offers students a rare glimpse behind the scenes of the hotel industry while helping them develop a deeper understanding of customer service and hospitality management.

What is the DOMINISTA CHALLENGE?

The DOMINISTA CHALLENGE is part of a nationwide initiative that has been engaging secondary school students since its inception in 2019. The program has successfully collaborated with over 100 schools across Japan to nurture students' perceptions of work and to foster their aspirations for future careers. Participants will utilize specialized materials designed to deepen their understanding of essential hotel management concepts, including customer interaction and room-cleaning processes.

Purpose and Importance of the Program

In today’s world, characterized by social and economic uncertainties, understanding the significance of work and its rewards has become increasingly vital for young people. This program not only introduces the notion of career education but also emphasizes developing an emotional connection to their local community and actively engaging with regional challenges. The training aims to instill values of empathy and joy in work, vital characteristics for future professionals.
