Macrovey Secures SBIR Phase I Contract for Advanced Logistics Solutions to Support Air Force Operations

In a significant advancement for logistics within the defense sector, Macrovey LLC has been selected by AFWERX for a Phase I Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) contract valued at $74,686. This initiative aims to develop and showcase an advanced logistics solution specifically tailored to tackle the readiness challenges faced by the United States Air Force (USAF).

The focus of this contract is to implement Macrovey's state-of-the-art autonomous warehousing systems. These systems are expected to improve material handling processes, effectively reduce operational costs, and enhance essential mission capabilities. By employing artificial intelligence, the planned technology will integrate a combination of scalable, mobile, and autonomous robotic systems that provide real-time material tracking alongside a proprietary warehouse management system. This innovative approach is designed to address some of the most critical challenges encountered by the Department of the Air Force (DAF).

Furthermore, this partnership is part of a broader effort by the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) and AFWERX to streamline the SBIR and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) processes. Their aim is to foster a more agile experience for small businesses by shortening the timeline from proposal submission to contract award. This overhaul intends to broaden the pool of eligible applicants and minimize bureaucratic hurdles, allowing for quicker execution of innovative projects.

Since its initiation of the Open Topic SBIR/STTR program back in 2018, the DAF has significantly expanded the range of innovations it funds. As of January 16, 2025, Macrovey has begun its crucial journey to develop capabilities that aim to bolster the national defense of the United States.

Macrovey's innovative offerings include a suite of advanced material handling and warehouse management solutions, such as the Mobile Warehouse System, Autonomous Warehouse, AutoPick, and Mobile Sorting Systems. These technologies harmoniously blend AI, robotics, and real-time tracking mechanisms to markedly enhance efficiency and reduce costs while ensuring seamless integration with current infrastructures. Designed with flexibility and performance in mind, these solutions are poised to revolutionize the modern supply chain landscape and sustain Macrovey's long-standing legacy in the industry.
