By integrating Sanyo UD's acoustic floor systems with Tokyo Board’s wood waste recycling and particle board manufacturing technologies, the partners plan to establish a resource circulation model that transcends simple carbon fixation.

The initiative recognizes wood waste generated on-site not as trash, but as a vital resource. This approach allows for the reclaimed wood to be transformed back into underlayment materials, significantly enhancing sustainability. Tokyo Board's subsidiary, T.B. Logistics, will ensure efficient transportation and recovery of wood waste, adeptly managing movements of both the reclaimed materials and newly produced particle boards. This streamlined logistics will enhance recycling efficiency and minimize transportation distances, making the recycling process more elegant and effective.

1. Efficient Waste Collection: Adhering to Sanyo UD and Sanyo Industry’s broader certification system, T.B. Logistics will handle the swift and proper collection of wood waste from construction sites, ensuring that the resources are recovered efficiently.

2. High-Quality Resource Recovery: The collected wood waste will be processed into raw materials, with Tokyo Board producing recycled particle boards branded as the “E.V.A® Board”. This ensures a 100% reuse of the raw materials, following efficient recycling practices.

3. Product Reutilization on Site: The newly created E.V.A® Boards will be supplied back to construction sites as underlayment materials for Sanyo UD's UD System Flooring, promoting a closed loop within the construction lifecycle.

Visualizing Environmental Value

One distinguishing aspect of the E.V.A® Board is its adherence to international standards. It holds both the EPD International and the domestic SuMPO EPD certifications, allowing for precise calculations of CO₂ emissions in the building lifecycle assessment (LCA).
