LandGate Enhances Global Infrastructure Insights with New European Data Center Mapping

LandGate Expands Its Global Grid Intelligence with New European Data Center Mapping

In a significant move, LandGate, a frontrunner in energy and digital infrastructure intelligence, has expanded its data offerings to incorporate European data center mapping. As of October 1, 2026, this expansion includes more than 2,100 facilities across ten primary European markets, promising a robust enhancement in site-level spatial data.

Comprehensive Visibility of European Data Centers

The newly introduced dataset provides extensive spatial visibility, performance metrics, and operational tracking tools for key international markets. This addition complements LandGate's existing domestic layers, enriching the platform and solidifying its position as a go-to source for developers, site selectors, and energy professionals.

"As the demand for hyperscale data deployment escalates, and artificial intelligence (AI) workloads significantly increase power density demands, there is a crucial transformation occurring in site selection across Europe," stated Yoann Hispa, CEO of LandGate. He further emphasized that the integration of site-level spatial intelligence across Europe will empower various stakeholders to comprehensively evaluate land, power availability, connectivity, and permitting conditions.

Mapping Across Key European Markets

LandGate's impressive coverage focuses on the top ten European markets, detailing specific insights for each region:
  • - United Kingdom: Dominating the market with over 500 facilities, primarily around the London and Slough hub, the UK currently faces power connection requests that exceed 70 gigawatts (GW).
  • - Germany: With around 450 facilities primarily based in Frankfurt, new builds must comply with regulations that mandate a Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) of 1.2 or lower by mid-2026, using 100% renewable electricity by 2027.
  • - France: Housing approximately 250 facilities mainly in Paris and Marseille, France’s data center development is bolstered by significant commitments, including a €20 billion, 1-gigawatt campus initiated by Brookfield in Cambrai.
  • - Netherlands: Hosting around 198 facilities, the Netherlands has management strategies addressing construction limits and regional grid caps enforced through 2030.
  • - Italy: With over 180 facilities located in Milan, Italy leverages its strong fiber networks and direct Mediterranean subsea connections.
  • - Spain: Approximately 130 facilities are focused around Madrid and Aragón, finding a balance between lower land costs and abundant solar/wind Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs).
  • - Ireland: Approximately 122 facilities, primarily in Dublin, where data centers consumed 21% of the national energy supply in 2023, governed by regulations mandating on-site dispatchable generation or storage.
  • - Sweden: Featuring around 121 facilities in key cities such as Stockholm, Falun, and Luleå, Sweden benefits from its abundant hydropower reserves and favorable ambient temperatures.
  • - Poland: With at least 107 facilities primarily in Warsaw, Katowice, and Poznań, Poland’s market is supported by Special Economic Zones (SEZs) and corporate Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs).
  • - Switzerland: Home to about 105 facilities in Zurich and Geneva, characterized by strict municipal regulations surrounding space limits and noise criteria.

Advanced Deployment Options

LandGate is set to deliver its new dataset through various flexible enterprise architectures, enhancing accessibility and usability. Key delivery mechanisms include:
  • - Geographic Information System (GIS) & DASS: Users can visually screen sites via interactive web maps.
  • - API and Direct Data Export: This includes complete facility attributes—ranging from power and white space capacities to operator contact details. All of this can be embedded directly into private models for user-specific applications.
  • - MCP Server URL: Provides direct integration of LandGate data into enterprise AI systems for streamlined querying.

By combining this latest dataset with information on over 6,200 U.S. facilities and over 4,000 international sites across more than 160 countries, LandGate is streamlining access to a unified view of global digital infrastructure supply.
