Delta Dental Partners with Midi Health to Promote Women's Whole-Body and Oral Health

Delta Dental of California and Midi Health: A New Era in Women's Health

In an exciting development aimed at bolstering women's well-being, Delta Dental of California has expanded its partnership with Midi Health, a prominent telehealth service focused on women's health, particularly during menopause and pregnancy. Announced on June 2, 2026, this initiative represents a significant shift in how healthcare is approached for women during critical life stages.

The collaboration underscores the recognition that oral health is intrinsically linked to overall wellness. Often, menopause is regarded as an isolated condition, but its impact extends to various aspects of health, including oral health. Symptoms such as dry mouth, gum disease, and inflammation frequently accompany menopause, yet these issues remain largely unacknowledged in regular healthcare discussions.

Sarah Chavarria, CEO of Delta Dental, emphasizes the importance of oral health as a foundational element of comprehensive care. "Women navigating menopause and other life transitions have historically been underserved by fragmented systems of care. Our enhanced partnership with Midi Health aims to create a more cohesive model that raises awareness, increases access, and supports women's health in a holistic way."

Research indicates that many women are unaware of the oral health symptoms related to menopause. Astonishingly, 83% of women aged 40 and above lack knowledge of these symptoms, with only 18% having broached the topic with their dentists. Conversely, a significant majority, 59%, express support for dentists initiating conversations surrounding menopause and oral health.

This partnership seeks to alleviate the disconnect between dental and medical care, merging access to oral health services with innovative menopause care. Delta Dental's Next Stage™ Women's Health benefit includes enhanced dental coverage aimed at addressing the oral health consequences of pregnancy and menopause, along with comprehensive support services. This encompasses specialty telehealth visits and curated resources designed to promote body wellness during these pivotal life phases.

Women enrolled in the program will have access to virtual consultations with menopause-trained healthcare providers who can create personalized care plans to address symptoms that affect their overall quality of life, such as sleep disruptions, mood fluctuations, and changes in sexual wellness.

Joanna Strober, founder and CEO of Midi Health, points out the connection between menopause and oral health often goes unnoticed. "By partnering with Delta Dental, we’re shining a spotlight on a neglected aspect of women’s health that is long overdue for attention."

To celebrate this enhanced partnership, Delta Dental and Midi Health will host a free interactive coffee truck event in New York City on June 3, from 8 AM to 3 PM. Located at 51st Street and Fifth Avenue, the event aims to stimulate discussions about menopause and oral health in everyday environments. Attendees can enjoy complimentary coffee while accessing educational materials and expert insights from Midi Health clinicians.

Chavarria aptly states, "Healthcare cannot be confined to clinical scenarios. For genuine progress in awareness, access, and outcomes, discussions must enter everyday life, simplifying engagement for women."

This collaboration marks a progressive movement towards integrated health care models that prioritize prevention and the unique needs of women at every life stage. It plays a vital role in Delta Dental's ongoing endeavor to elevate women's health and wellness.

For those interested in additional resources, Delta Dental has established a dedicated hub focusing on menopause and oral health. Furthermore, Midi Health continues to lead with innovative virtual menopause care and support.
