Nationwide Initiative (2021-Present)
Since 2021, Work Design Lab has been collaborating with the Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industry on initiatives for the digital transformation of small and medium enterprises (SMEs). By January 2023, partnerships focused on utilizing diverse human resources to push digitalization were formalized, establishing a support model employing external talents.
Deepening Collaboration with Kitakami (2023)
In December 2023, Work Design Lab coordinated with the Kitakami Chamber of Commerce to host digital utilization seminars for member businesses. These events facilitated discussions about local companies' challenges and needs, strengthening mutual trust.
Agreement and Establishment of the Base (2024-Present)
Following extensive discussions, in April 2024, Work Design Lab entered into an agreement with the Kitakami Chamber of Commerce to collaborate on digitalization efforts for SMEs. Subsequently, various digital transformation events aimed at SMEs were conducted, advocating for the installation of the new base to enhance community connections and joint ventures.

Recent Achievements
The upcoming seminar on utilizing generative AI aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and boosting sales is scheduled for February 12, 2026. Jointly hosted by the Kitakami Chamber of Commerce and the Kitakami City Industrial Support Center, this hands-on seminar will cover essential applications of generative AI and digital tools. Practical demos will detail specific methods for improving operations (like creating business plans) and increasing revenue through social media marketing, while also exploring new collaborative work practices.
