Experience the Transition from Reading Dogs to Family Robots with LOVOT at Takeo Library Event

Transforming Reading with Family Robot LOVOT

In an innovative collaboration, the Takeo City Library is hosting an engaging reading experience event featuring the family robot LOVOT. Under the organization of GROOVE X Inc., this event is set to run from August 1 to August 31, 2026, allowing children to immerse themselves in the world of books with the supportive presence of LOVOT. The initiative aims to merge cutting-edge technology with a love for reading, providing a warm and safe environment for children to explore literature.

Event Highlights

During the event, visitors will have the opportunity to interact freely with LOVOT, situated within the library and the Takeo Onsen Station's tourism information center. Specific reading sessions will be organized where children can read to LOVOT, mimicking the popular “Reading Dogs Program” initiated in the U.S. This program is known for helping children build confidence and enjoyment in reading by sharing stories with trained dogs. LOVOT will take on the role of a listening companion, creating a nurturing space where children can read without fear of making mistakes.
