Horizon Media and Big Brothers Big Sisters Join Forces in Youth Mentorship Initiative

On October 7, 2026, Horizon Media, the largest independent media agency globally, announced a groundbreaking partnership with Big Brothers Big Sisters of America (BBBSA). The collaboration aims to leverage the substantial power of media to enhance youth mentorship awareness and inspire more Americans to become mentors.

According to a report by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), only about 58.5% of American teenagers consistently receive the social and emotional support they require. As traditional support systems diminish and young people increasingly turn to digital platforms for connection, this partnership seeks to fill the void by promoting meaningful, one-on-one mentoring relationships.

Through this alliance, Horizon Media is committed to donate over $15 million in media resources. These donations will reach a crucial audience of potential mentors, amplifying BBBSA's mission to not only increase volunteer signups but also enhance donations that directly connect youths with life-changing mentoring experiences. Horizon's extensive marketplace and partner network will actively work to mobilize resources across various media channels.

Engaging over 100 media partners and brands, Horizon is set to amplify BBBSA's initiatives across audio, digital platforms, out-of-home advertising, print, social media, and video. This partnership is a significant step towards creating tangible impacts in the lives of young people while encouraging broader participation from the marketing community to support this vital cause.

Artis Stevens, President and CEO of BBBSA, emphasized the importance of this partnership, stating, "When purpose-driven companies advocate for youth, it reflects their commitment to social responsibility and the wellbeing of future generations. Our collaboration with Horizon Media symbolizes this commitment perfectly."

This partnership also resonates with Horizon's own Brand Ethos—“Business is Personal”—which focuses on investing in people and fostering opportunities for today’s youth. By aligning their efforts with the National Football League (NFL) and extending their societal impact beyond mere business, Horizon aspires to save youth mentorship from further decline.

Moreover, Bill Koenigsberg, Founder and CEO of Horizon Media, reiterated the profound effect of media: "Media has the potential to inspire change, motivating people to take actionable steps. It’s pivotal in helping youth build relationships and access support that leads to flourishing futures."

The partnership with BBBSA, formalized in July, is set to continue through 2027, focusing on critical cultural and community events designed to foster awareness and drive engagement. Horizon and BBBSA are actively inviting other media organizations and marketing partners to join them in promoting mentorship across the United States.
