Panda Express and Children's Miracle Network Hospitals Celebrate a $200 Million Donation Achieving Milestone

Panda Express and Children's Miracle Network Hospitals Celebrate a $200 Million Fundraising Milestone

Panda Express, a renowned family-run Asian dining brand in the United States, has partnered with the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals (CMN Hospitals) to celebrate a remarkable achievement: raising over $200 million for pediatric healthcare. This milestone, announced on July 24, 2025, reflects the unwavering generosity of Panda Express's patrons and employees, directly benefitting children's hospitals nationwide.

The funds garnered from this partnership are dedicated to enhancing the programs and services provided at CMN Hospitals across the country. These contributions significantly support the comprehensive well-being of young patients, focusing not only on their physical health but also on their emotional, mental, and spiritual needs during their most challenging times.

One of the most noteworthy outcomes of this collaboration is the establishment of the Panda Cares Centers of Hope, specially designed spaces within children's hospitals that promote healing through play and creativity. The Centers of Hope feature a variety of amenities designed to provide comfort and joy, including vibrant play areas, therapeutic gardens, and quiet corners for reflection. These centers offer a sanctuary for children and their families, a welcome break from the stresses of hospital visits.

Peggy Cherng, Co-CEO and Co-Founder of Panda Express, expressed immense pride in this partnership, highlighting its significance: “Every dollar contributed has forged spaces that nurture hope and recovery, allowing kids to focus on what matters most – being children.”

The impact of this partnership extends beyond the financial contributions; it is evident in the growing number of Panda Cares Centers of Hope. Currently, there are 72 centers operating, and plans are underway to open more in various locations, including Corewell Health Helen DeVos Children's Hospital in Grand Rapids, Michigan, as well as hospitals in South Carolina, North Carolina, Idaho, and Texas.

Aimee J. Daily, Ph.D., the President and CEO of Children's Miracle Network Hospitals, acknowledged the profound influence of the partnership: “Our collaboration with Panda Express has tremendously enhanced the capacity of our member hospitals to provide holistic, child-centered care. The Panda Cares Centers of Hope embody our shared mission of transforming pediatric health needs and outcomes.”

Children's Miracle Network Hospitals have been actively working for over 40 years to improve children's health by engaging local communities and raising funds. With over $9 billion raised for around 170 children's hospitals, their efforts have led to advancements in life-saving treatments, innovative research, and essential medical equipment that directly support the healthcare of young patients.

Panda Express has established itself as a leader in the restaurant industry since its inception in 1983, recognized not only for its delicious menu offerings like the Original Orange Chicken® but also for its commitment to community welfare through Panda Cares. Through this philanthropic arm, Panda Express has contributed significantly to raising funds and volunteering time towards improving health and education for over 15 million youth.

As both entities celebrate this significant fundraising milestone, they reaffirm their commitment to continue supporting young patients and their families. Together, they aim to transform children's healthcare and significantly influence the future trajectory of their health and well-being.
