In a collaborative effort to provide psychological assistance and support, the NGO Operation Blessing Japan is hosting a seminar on May 16, 2026, in Shinjuku, Tokyo. Renowned clinical psychologist Kenji Okuda will be the speaker, exploring vital topics related to school refusal and career choices.

The seminar consists of two parts:
  • - Part 1: "Preventing School Refusal" - Practical approaches based on behavioral analysis.
  • - Part 2: "Useful Psychology" - Addressing how to approach career paths for the younger generation (free for those aged 25 and under).

Part 1: Preventing School Refusal


From 1:30 PM to 3:45 PM, this session aims to equip parents, educators, and supporters with strategies to prevent school refusal based on behavioral analysis.
Kenji Okuda will share practical techniques that can be applied in everyday life, accompanied by his wealth of case studies and engaging anecdotes filled with humor and warmth.
  • - Time: 1:30 PM - 3:45 PM (Doors open at 1:00 PM)
  • - Capacity: 270 attendees
  • - Fee: 2,400 yen

Part 2: Useful Psychology

  • - Time: 4:15 PM - 5:45 PM (Doors open at 4:00 PM)
  • - Youth Capacity (under 25): 200 slots
  • - General and Supporter Capacity: 50 slots (additional slots may be added based on youth registration)
  • - Fee: Free for attendees 25 years and younger / 1,000 yen for general and supporters

About the Speaker: Kenji Okuda


Kenji Okuda is a clinical psychologist and specialist in behavioral therapy. Hailing from Nishinomiya City in Hyogo Prefecture, he serves as a board member of the Japanese Society of Behavioral Analysis and the Japanese Society of Child Health Sciences, among other organizations. In addition to his extensive work as an educator, he is known in the media as the "Unbelievable Mobile Counselor." Kenji is the author of several acclaimed books, including Dear Asperger Teacher and Raising Children Who Act Independently with Zero Scolding.
