First Horizon Bank Grows Loan Syndications Team with New Key Hires
First Horizon Bank Expands Loan Syndications Team
In a strategic move to bolster its service capabilities, First Horizon Bank, based in Memphis, Tennessee, has announced significant expansions to its Loan Syndications team. This initiative aims to provide better execution and service for corporate and commercial real estate clients across the United States. The bank has made several key appointments intended to deepen their strength in syndications, which play a crucial role in financing for various projects and initiatives.
Kevin Farrell has been appointed as the Managing Director of Commercial Real Estate Loan Syndications. Bringing considerable expertise to the role, Farrell previously led the Loan Syndications team at First National Bank Corporation. His focus will be on deepening relationships with clients and enhancing the bank's offerings in commercial real estate syndications. His extensive background positions him well to contribute to First Horizon's goals of expanding its influence within the corporate real estate sphere.
Joining Farrell in the leadership capacity is Corey Kistka, now the Managing Director of Commercial Industrial Loan Syndications. Kistka arrives with nearly three decades of experience in syndicated finance, having most recently worked at Comerica Bank where he specialized in advising on financing for both public and private entities. His role at First Horizon will encompass overseeing complex financing solutions designed to support the strategic initiatives and growth of their clients.
The team also sees the inclusion of Jack Bratton as a Vice President of Loan Syndications and Austin Eskew as a Loan Syndications Associate. Both newcomers bring valuable experience that is expected to bolster First Horizon’s capabilities in both Commercial Real Estate and the Commercial Industrial space. This infusion of talent reflects the bank’s commitment to providing comprehensive support and innovative solutions for its clients.
Olu Jegede, Group Head of Corporate Specialty Finance at First Horizon, shared his enthusiasm regarding these new hires, stating, “We are excited to welcome Kevin, Corey, Jack, and Austin to our Loan Syndications team. Their experience and proven successes will be vital as we enhance our client services and respond to the evolving needs of the market.” Jegede emphasized that these strategic hires are a testament to First Horizon’s pledge to build a robust platform, ensuring the bank remains a formidable partner in navigating the complexities of capital markets.
As of June 30, 2026, First Horizon boasts approximately $84.4 billion in assets, operating primarily in the Southern U.S. The bank extends a wide range of financial services, including commercial banking, private banking, and wealth management, while being recognized for its exemplary work environment by publications like Fortune and Forbes.
Through this strategic growth in their Loan Syndications team, First Horizon Bank aims not only to enhance its operational capabilities but also to solidify its status as a trusted advisor for businesses confronting the multifaceted challenges of modern finance. With the addition of seasoned professionals, First Horizon is poised to deliver innovative financial solutions that align with the ambitions and goals of its clientele, driving sustainable economic growth in the regions they serve.
