Tokyo Cross Lab Selects Startups for Open Innovation Project in Tokyo

Tokyo Cross Lab Starts New Era with Startup Collaborations



The Tokyo Cross Lab initiative, organized by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, is set to revolutionize the innovation landscape in Japan. Recently, the program selected four promising startups that will leverage the research facilities and technological assets of Pacific Consultants Inc., based in Chiyoda, Tokyo. This initiative aims to foster open innovation by pairing established companies with nimble startups, creating a fertile ground for technological advancements and collaborative projects.

The four startups chosen for this innovative venture are:
1. SAKIYA Inc. - Specializes in electromagnetic non-destructive testing systems and utilizes 3D scanning technology for surveys and measurements in the construction sector. SAKIYA Website

4. Robodex Inc. - Expert in the design and sale of hydrogen drones and small hydrogen mobility. The selected startups will enter into facility usage agreements and initiate discussions for collaborative research, a process expected to unfold in the coming months.

Facility Details



The Tsukuba Technology Research Center, which will host these startups, boasts a vast expanse comparable to that of Tokyo Dome, featuring outdoor testing grounds, experimental buildings, administrative offices, environmental analysis labs, and biotopes. It is equipped with large-scale hydraulic model testing facilities, cementing its reputation as one of the leading construction consulting centers in Japan.
