The 2025 Exchange Conference on Global Industrial Internet Integrated Development, centered on the theme 'Intelligent Industry for Global Connectivity', took place on September 6, 2025, in Shenyang, located in Liaoning Province, northeastern China. This conference served as a crucial forum for the overarching Global Industrial Internet Conference 2025, attracting close to 300 representatives from governments, businesses, and organizations across 11 countries and regions. The primary focus was to explore the latest trends in the development of the industrial internet, aiming to advance a high-quality industrial economy worldwide.
Hermano Tercius, the telecommunications secretary from Brazil’s Ministry of Communications, highlighted that achieving global connectivity transcends technology alone. He emphasized the necessity for a global intelligence framework to harness the benefits of the impending industrial revolution, thus ensuring that its achievements are accessible to all of humanity. On a similar note, Lucero Carreón, vice-president of the Mexico-China Bilateral Enterprise Committee, mentioned that the 'Belt and Road Initiative' would significantly enhance collaborative efforts in developing internet industrial projects, ultimately creating further opportunities for growth.
In his address, Ben Sassi, general manager of the Warsaw Chamber of Commerce in Poland, underscored that the ultimate goal of global cooperation in the digital realm is to benefit the entire industrial sector and shape the future of industrialization. Zhao Yongsheng, the head of the Tiexi district in Shenyang, shared insights into the successful digital transformation efforts carried out in his area. He noted that Tiexi district has been actively promoting the intelligent modernization of traditional industries, developing an industrial internet framework, and driving digital transitions. This includes impactful initiatives in new infrastructure, digital industrial clusters, and international cooperation.
Zhao elaborated that numerous leading national and international firms and innovation platforms have established a presence in the Tiexi district. Additionally, several successful demonstration projects regarding intelligent factories and eco-friendly manufacturing have been effectively implemented.
A highlight of the event was the official launch of the 'Global Smart Tour', an exchange program designed for international industrial internet companies to explore intelligent production facilities across China. Utilizing Shenyang as the launch point, this initiative aims to foster substantial communication and mutual learning opportunities through on-site visits. The launch represents an opportunity for participating companies to gain first-hand experiences of China's advancements in industrial internet technology and implementations.
The 2025 Exchange Conference marks a pivotal movement in threading together disparate industrial ecosystems, facilitating profound synergies through innovative technologies, and fine-tuning infrastructural developments to strengthen the global economy. As discussions about intelligent industries continue to evolve, this conference sets the stage for ongoing dialogues that can redefine the landscape of global industrial practices.
The conference thus not only provides a platform for information exchange but also incubates ideas that have the potential to propel industries towards a future embraced by digital innovation and interconnectedness. As global challenges persist, such collaborations could be instrumental in steering policy frameworks and developmental strategies that address the evolving needs of the industrial sector on a grand scale.
