Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute Expands Statewide
The Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute has made an impressive stride in increasing its patient care capabilities across Florida. Recently, the institute has welcomed a distinguished group of doctors specializing in orthopedic and sports medicine, elevating its already renowned reputation. With a commitment to innovation, patient care excellence, and medical education, the institute is geared towards providing top-tier orthopedic treatment to more communities on both the east and west coasts of Florida.
New Additions to the Team
A total of 26 physicians and 23 advanced providers have joined the Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute team. This expansion follows the institute's acquisition of Steward Health Care's orthopedic practices in East Central Florida, which now brings its exceptional services to Melbourne, Sebastian, and Vero Beach. In this transition, six new physicians and seven physician assistants have been integrated into the institute.
Meanwhile, the west coast of Florida sees the addition of 20 new physicians and 16 physician assistants from Florida Medical Clinic Orlando Health. The existing orthopedic clinics in Brandon, North Tampa, South Tampa, Wiregrass, and Zephyrhills are set to be rebranded as the Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute, enhancing the continuity of care under a single banner. Notably, the St. Petersburg orthopedic clinic is moving to the Orlando Health Medical Pavilion – Institute Square campus and will reopen later this fall under the new name.
Enhancing Patient Access
As Michael Jablonski, MD, Senior Vice President of Orlando Health and President of both the Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute and the Orlando Health Neuroscience Institute, stated, "We are thrilled to provide greater access to the wide range of specialized musculoskeletal care offered by our institute and welcome our newest physicians and team members." The focus remains on advanced training, with most of the physicians having completed sub-specialty fellowships in their respective fields.
The aim is to broaden the access point of orthopedic care, bolstering both community health quality and convenience. This expansion allows the Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute to provide comprehensive orthopedic services to more residents throughout Florida.
