Bulat Utemuratov Foundation's Generous Donation to Astana
In a remarkable act of philanthropy, the Bulat Utemuratov Foundation has made a significant contribution to support families in need in Astana, Kazakhstan. The foundation has donated 500 apartments to the city’s administration, aimed at assisting residents who are struggling to find adequate housing. This donation is valued at 10.5 billion Tenge and is part of the foundation's ongoing charity project, Balamaken, which provides housing for vulnerable groups across Kazakhstan.
The new apartments are located in modern residential complexes throughout Astana. These buildings feature various amenities, including elevators, facial recognition systems, underground parking, and spacious courtyards, all designed to create a safe and comfortable living environment for the residents. The initiative addresses the pressing need for affordable housing in the region.
Among the recipients of these new homes are teachers, healthcare workers, emergency responders, and other public sector employees who play essential roles in the community. Ainur Karbozova, the CEO of the Bulat Utemuratov Foundation, expressed the organization's commitment to providing long-term support to those who need it most. She stated, “Housing is a fundamental need, and through Balamaken, we aim to help families improve their lives and look towards a more stable future.”
One recipient, firefighter Yerlan Shaikhymov, shared his thoughts on receiving an apartment, emphasizing its importance for his family of five children. “This apartment is tremendously important for us. It provides immense support to our family, allowing us to live in peace and confidence for the future. We are incredibly grateful for this opportunity,” he expressed.
Since its inception in 2019, the Balamaken project has already provided permanent housing solutions to around 1,000 families, including those with disabilities, large families, and victims of natural disasters in regions such as Aktobe, Akmola, Kyzylorda, and Turkistan.
Founded in 2014, the Bulat Utemuratov Foundation is dedicated to charitable initiatives around inclusion, education, health, sports, and environmental protections. Over the last decade, the foundation has allocated more than 98.4 billion Tenge to various charitable projects throughout Kazakhstan, making a significant impact on many lives.
