Ken Matsui is a graduate of the Media Faculty at Tokyo University of Technology. He was one of the founding members of Monster Lab Co., Ltd., where he developed smartphone applications and web systems. After launching his own IoT device company in 2011 and gaining extensive experience in producing connected devices, he founded ugo Inc. in 2018 as CEO. His company has innovatively commercialized the ugo security robot, leading advancements in various inspection fields.

Matsui has received several accolades, including the Excellence Award in the Business and Social Implementation category of the 11th Robot Awards, and he was recognized by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry as part of the “J-Startup” initiative, solidifying his role as a leader in Japan's robotics market.
