Available Programs

State Emergency Relief (SER): This program provides eligible residents facing a past due bill or a shut-off notice with up to $900 in immediate one-time assistance.

Home Heating Credit (HHC): Michiganders can file tax form MI-1040CR-7 to check if they qualify for support with their heating expenses. On average, customers receive around $250 from this initiative.

Michigan Energy Assistance Program (MEAP) and CARE Program: Customers may receive fixed monthly payments for two years when enrolled in the CARE program, with additional forgiveness options for their past due balances. MEAP also offers assistance as needed for customers requiring temporary financial support.
