Upcoming Release: Monster Hunter Stories 3
On March 13, 2026, Capcom will celebrate the launch of the highly anticipated game,
Monster Hunter Stories 3: Destiny’s Twin Dragons, alongside the introduction of three captivating amiibo. This remarkable news was brought to fans during a special presentation at the
Tokyo Game Show 2025, showcasing thrilling teasers and gameplay demonstrations from the Monster Hunter franchise.
What’s New in Monster Hunter Stories 3
Monster Hunter Stories 3: Destiny’s Twin Dragons marks the third installment of the RPG series. The story is set in the two nations of Asral and Buryon, which are currently on the verge of extinction. An egg discovery leads to the birth of the long-thought-extinct creature, the
Rathalos. Initially perceived as hope, the emergence of this creature transforms into a harbinger of despair for the inhabitants of both nations. The newly born twin Rathalos are reminiscent of the
cursed twin dragons from the cataclysmic civil war two centuries ago.
As environmental degradation accelerates, the monster population faces extinction, and the shadow of war looms as the nations recover. Players will embody a rider bonded with Rathalos, seeking truths within the swirling tides of fate.
Amiibo Launch Alongside the Game
In addition to the game release, three amiibo figures will be made available on the same day:
- - Rathalos
- - Rathalos V
- - Rudy
These amiibo figures, inspired by the game, aim to enhance players' experiences and enable various in-game interactions. While the price is yet to be determined, fans are encouraged to follow Capcom's official channels for updates.
