GOYA Cares Campaign Raises $350,000 for Child Protection and Mental Health Initiatives

GOYA Cares Campaign Raises Funds

GOYA Foods, the largest Hispanic-owned food company in the United States, has successfully concluded its Hidrátate por la Esperanza (Hydrate for Hope) campaign, raising an impressive $350,000. This initiative aims to support critical programs specifically designed for child protection and mental health support for children and adolescents. The announcement was made by Bob Unanue, the President and CEO of Goya Foods.

Commitment to Child Welfare

"The safety and well-being of children is of utmost importance to us," Unanue stated. The tremendous community support received during the Hydrate for Hope campaign enables Goya to take significant strides in protecting the most vulnerable populations while promoting mental health resources. Unanue emphasized the importance of collective efforts, saying, "Together, we can initiate lasting change."

The funds collected will be allocated to various dedicated organizations, including Olive Crest in California, Kristi House in Florida, Houston's Crime Stoppers, Salt Light in Chicago, Covenant House in New York and New Jersey, and the Center for Safety and Change in New York. These organizations are at the forefront in the battle against child abuse and exploitation, while also providing crucial resources and support for mental health.

Addressing Critical Issues

The GOYA Cares Hydrate for Hope campaign was launched in response to the rising prevalence of child exploitation and mental health issues across the United States. Through the sale of GOYA® Coconut Water, the campaign not only raised funds but also heightened awareness and education regarding these pressing issues.

The $350,000 raised will support preventive education initiatives in schools nationwide through partnerships with GOYA Cares coalition allies. This commitment exemplifies Goya Foods' dedication not just to food, but to the welfare of the community it serves.
