Empowering Young Girls through Soccer: The Nadeshiko Girls Soccer Clinic in Miyazaki

On September 5th, 2023, the 27th installment of the Nadeshiko Girls Soccer Clinic will take place at the Ichigo Miyazaki Shintomi Soccer Field in Miyazaki Prefecture. This initiative, co-hosted by Plenus Co., Ltd. and the Japan Women's Football League, aims to promote participation in women's soccer by inviting girls aged 6 to 15, from beginners to experienced players, to learn and enjoy the sport.

A Platform for Growth

Plenus Co., Ltd., a prominent partner of the Nadeshiko League, operates various food service brands, including "Hotto Motto" for take-out meals, "Yayoi Ken" for set meals, the MK Restaurant for shabu-shabu and authentic dim sum, and the ramen establishment "KAYAVA". With 2,822 domestic locations, their commitment to nurturing young talent is evident in their continuous support of activities promoting sports, especially women’s soccer.

The soccer clinic offers a unique blend of physical activity and nutrition education, instilling important life skills and healthy habits into participants’ lives. Girls will engage in drills covering dribbling, passing, and shooting, guided by skilled players from the Nadeshiko League. Moreover, the clinic will host discussions and provide advice on nutrition, emphasizing the vital link between healthy eating and athletic performance.

Event Details

- Date and Time: September 5, 2023, from 14:10 to 15:40. Participants can register from 13:40 to 13:55, followed by the clinic from 14:10 to 15:10, and a nutrition event from 15:20 to 15:40.

- Venue: Ichigo Miyazaki Shintomi Soccer Field, Miyazaki Prefecture, Shintomi Town, Mannosho 1586.

- Who Can Participate: Girls aged between 6 and 15 (from the first grade of elementary school to the third grade of junior high school), with no prior soccer experience required.

- Registration Capacity: Approximately 50 participants on a first-come, first-served basis.

- Registration Period: From August 5th to August 27th, closing at 23:59 JST, or earlier if the limit is reached.

- Organizers: Jointly organized by the Japan Women's Football League and Plenus Co., Ltd.

- Supervisors: Viamaterasu Miyazaki and the Miyazaki Prefectural Soccer Association.

- Special Benefits: Participants will receive a “Kinjirizumi” (three cups of premium rice) from Hotto Motto, a ¥500 meal voucher, nutrition pamphlets, and tickets to matches occurring on the same day for the participants and their accompanying family members.
