The Tokyo Meat Market Association is excited to announce the 2025 Tokyo Meat Market Festival, to be held on October 18 (Saturday) and 19 (Sunday) in the meat market located at the Tokyo Central Wholesale Market in Shinagawa. This marks the 44th edition of a beloved event designed to enhance the consumption of domestic beef and pork while promoting awareness of the market's significance and role in food safety.

The festival showcases the prestigious Kagoshima Black Beef, known for its rich flavor and exceptional quality. On the event days, visitors will have the opportunity to enjoy complimentary tastings of shabu-shabu made from Kagoshima Black Beef and Kagoshima Black Pork, along with delicious pork offal stew. In addition to these culinary delights, the event will feature a variety of attractions for families, making it an enjoyable day out. This initiative aims to educate the public about meat safety while showcasing the charm of domestic agriculture, supported by livestock farmers, processors, and distributors.

What to Expect: Free Tastings!


The festival's central feature is the Free Tasting Corner, where attendees can sample:

  • - Shabu-shabu of the award-winning Kagoshima Black Beef
  • - Shabu-shabu of Kagoshima Black Pork
  • - Pork offal stew

October 18 (Saturday):

Please note that tasting tickets will be distributed at the tasting corner starting from the times noted above, and they are available in limited quantity. Only individuals holding tasting tickets can participate.
