Teachstone Honored at the 6th Annual Anthem Awards
In a significant recognition of its contribution to early childhood education, Teachstone was recently announced as a finalist in the Early Childhood & Pre-K Education category at the 6th Annual Anthem Awards. This prestigious award celebrates excellence in social impact across multiple sectors, and Teachstone's innovative CLASS® framework played a crucial role in securing its nomination.
Founded in 2008, Teachstone aims to enhance classroom interactions through its Classroom Assessment Scoring System® (CLASS®), developed with research from the University of Virginia. This framework focuses on improving teacher-child interactions, facilitating better educational outcomes, and nurturing well-rounded development in young learners. The submission, titled "From Measurement to Momentum: Ensuring More Children Experience Effective Interactions," showcased how the CLASS framework transforms critical classroom interactions to foster early brain development.
The Anthem Winners are chosen by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences, featuring a panel of esteemed judges from various influential organizations and companies committed to social change. Among the judges is Nancy Brown, CEO of the American Heart Association, and Jesse Tyler Ferguson, the award-winning actor and LGBTQ+ advocate, adding to the awards' prestige.
Teachstone’s recognition places it alongside other notable honorees, including Global Citizen, PBS, and The LEGO Group. This year’s finalists represent a concerted effort to create meaningful social impact and inspire positive change in communities worldwide. Patricia McLoughlin, General Manager of the Anthem Awards, expressed excitement at the resilience of the impact sector amid challenges, emphasizing the importance of storytelling and advocacy in driving action.
Karlo Young, CEO of Teachstone, conveyed the organization's dedication to providing children with meaningful and supportive educational interactions. He stated, “At a time when the world needs purpose-driven action more than ever, we are deeply honored to stand among visionary changemakers dedicated to making a meaningful difference across the globe.” The CLASS framework has reached educators in all 50 states and 18 countries, helping to lower childhood stress and empower learning gains through actionable feedback.
In conjunction with announcing the finalists, the Anthem Community Voice is launched in partnership with NationBuilder, inviting public participation in celebrating the achievements of the finalists from October 13 through October 29. Supporters can engage in this initiative online at celebrate.anthemawards.com as the finalists vie for Gold, Silver, or Bronze awards.
The winners of the 6th Annual Anthem Awards will be revealed on November 5, 2026, igniting further excitement among participants and supporters alike as their efforts towards enhancing education and community well-being are acknowledged.
