JSPO-ACP Family Experience Event in Kanagawa



The Japan Sports Association (JSPO) is hosting an exciting family-centric event to foster an environment where children can enjoy sports through movement. This initiative is part of the Active Child Program (JSPO-ACP), which aims to promote active lifestyles for children by encouraging them to engage in fun physical activities.

Located in Kanagawa, the event will be held on Sunday, December 21, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM, with registration beginning at 9:30 AM. The venue for this engaging experience will be the gymnasium at Kanagawa University of Health and Welfare, situated at 1-10-1 Heiseicho, Yokosuka City, Kanagawa.

The event aims to attract a diverse group of participants, with a target demographic of preschool children, particularly those in their final year, through to elementary school students, accompanied by their parents. A total of 200 participants, divided into 100 family units, will be allowed to join this enriching experience, free of charge.

The JSPO-ACP event will provide an array of activities that allow families to explore different movements together, embodying the program's philosophy centered on fun and engagement in sports. Families can expect to take away valuable insights and tips that they can incorporate into their daily play. Additionally, there will be special guest appearances to motivate and inspire attendees.

One of the prominent guests is a celebrated athlete from Yokosuka City, recognized for their achievements in Japanese baseball. In 2015, they set a remarkable record with 216 hits in a single season, earning the nickname
