CLASH Endurance Set to Bring Exciting Triathlon Championships to Coastal Mississippi in 2026

In a thrilling announcement, CLASH Endurance has revealed that it will host the upcoming USA Triathlon Collegiate Club National Championships in Coastal Mississippi from March 27-29, 2026. This new venue has been carefully selected to reflect values of hospitality and community, which are at the core of the CLASH brand. The event will attract not only the nation's top collegiate athletes, but also enthusiastic weekend warriors and participants from over a dozen countries, all eager to showcase their endurance skills in triathlons, duathlons, and a variety of swimming events.

The theme of this vibrant weekend is "Stay and Play", encouraging attendees to take advantage of Coastal Mississippi's rich offerings of entertainment, culture, and history. The picturesque environment, coupled with diverse local attractions ranging from sandy beaches to savory Gulf cuisine, makes it an ideal setting for such a prestigious event.

Previously, the Homestead-Miami Speedway had served as the location for CLASH's spring weekend since 2021; however, a shift towards a more centralized venue was necessary to better accommodate participants and their families. The charming cities of Gulfport and Biloxi have emerged as a southern hub of tourism, featuring an international airport along with an array of accommodation options that cater to every budget. Attendees will have the opportunity to navigate through family-friendly attractions and partake in championship golf, all while enjoying the excitement of nearby casinos.

"We are thrilled to bring this high-caliber event weekend to the area and for both athletes and spectators to experience the warmth its communities provide," said Bill Christy, the CEO of CLASH Endurance. He emphasized that it's rare to find a host venue that feels so welcoming and familiar, and Coastal Mississippi fits that description perfectly.

The race course will feature a swim set in the Gulf of America, utilizing a protected saltwater route near the newly rebuilt Gulfport Municipal Marina. March temperatures typically range from 62 to 72 degrees Fahrenheit, making it comfortable for participants. Cyclists will enjoy a controlled course that leads them eastward along Beach Road (US-90) towards Biloxi, celebrated for its flat and fast terrain that facilitates speedy rides. Runners are in for a scenic treat as the path winds through Gulfport's inviting coastal neighborhoods, showcasing the local southern hospitality that has built the area a reputation.

Mississippi Governor Tate Reeves expressed enthusiasm over the event, stating, "We're proud to welcome CLASH Endurance to our Gulf Coast. This exciting event showcases the strength and determination of its athletes, as well as the unmatched beauty and hospitality of Coastal Mississippi. We look forward to hosting competitors and fans from across the country, and showing them why Mississippi is the perfect destination for world-class outdoor events."

The USA Triathlon Collegiate Club National Championships is a significant event, bringing together over 100 collegiate clubs to compete in thrilling races marked by high energy and school spirit. With races including Olympic-distance, Draft-legal Sprint, and the Mixed Relay, all races will contribute towards overall team scores. Individual race winners as well as the top women's, men's, and military clubs will be recognized, along with awards for school spirit and uniqueness.

As preparations for the event ramp up, CLASH Endurance's COO, Andre Lapar, remarked on the importance of offering unique racing opportunities for aspiring athletes, especially as we approach the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.

CLASH Endurance prides itself on organizing exceptional endurance events across the U.S., welcoming athletes of all backgrounds. The company has successfully hosted various iconic events, including the popular CLASH Endurance DAYTONA and challenging events in Miami. Their overarching mission is to create inclusive environments for athletes at different skill levels, from elite competitors to novices.

As the birthplace of America's music and celebrated as the Hospitality State, Mississippi invites visitors far and wide to explore its vibrant culture, rich history, and beautiful landscapes. From the soulful notes of the Delta to the stunning Gulf Coast, any journey in Mississippi promises to be a memorable experience. Hopefully, the 2026 USA Triathlon Collegiate Club National Championships will not only highlight the athleticism of its participants but the unique charm of Coastal Mississippi, ensuring this will be a landmark event in triathlon history.
