Kunes Auto & RV Group's Annual Trade in Hunger Campaign Packs 250,000 Meals for Local Families
Kunes Auto & RV Group's Commitment to Combat Hunger
In an inspiring display of community spirit, Kunes Auto & RV Group has launched its fifth annual Trade in Hunger campaign, which aims to pack an impressive 250,000 meals to combat food insecurity. This initiative will see the collective efforts of employees from 54 dealership locations across Wisconsin, Illinois, Iowa, and Minnesota. The campaign is scheduled to run from June 8 to June 17, 2026, bringing dealerships together in a competitive yet heartwarming mission to help families in need.
A Meaningful Mission
Kunes Auto & RV Group is no stranger to community involvement. With a founding ethos rooted in faith, family, and giving back, the company has been a beacon of hope in the Midwest since its inception in 1996. The Trade in Hunger initiative highlights this commitment further, especially during a time when food insecurity is on the rise.
The campaign aims to mobilize each of Kunes' dealerships to pack approximately 5,500 meals each, totaling a staggering 250,000 meals. The meals will be distributed locally through food banks and pantries, ensuring that assistance reaches those who need it most. The contents of each meal kit will include staple items such as peanut butter, pasta, sauce, canned vegetables, canned tuna, applesauce, oatmeal, and boxed macaroni and cheese — essential food items for families struggling to make ends meet.
Tackling Hunger in the Community
The initiative comes at a crucial time, as local families are increasingly facing food scarcity, especially with the arrival of summer. Many children rely on school programs for free or reduced lunches, and this summer void contributes significantly to food insecurity for many households. Jennifer Myers, the Chief Marketing Officer of Delavan Holdings, emphasizes the importance of this campaign: “Our team understands that growth means nothing if we're not strengthening the communities we call home, especially when families are struggling with food insecurity.”
