Outbound Hotels Expands with New Properties in Yosemite and Sedona

Outbound Hotels is embarking on an exciting new chapter as it announces the upcoming openings of two significant properties – Outbound Yosemite and Outbound Sedona. These additions underline the brand's ambition to lead in the outdoor hospitality sector while enhancing guest experiences with an emphasis on nature, design, and culture.

Scheduled to open in Q1 2026, Outbound Yosemite will serve as a serene alpine retreat located just a short drive from Yosemite National Park. Covering 17 acres, this property is designed to blend rustic charm with modern amenities. Featuring 104 cabins thoughtfully arranged to offer breathtaking views, along with 14 lodge-style rooms, this location promises a unique experience for outdoor enthusiasts.

Matthew Mering, Executive Vice President, Hospitality at Waterton and Co-Founder of Outbound Hotels, expressed his excitement for the new developments, stating, "With the openings of Outbound Yosemite and Outbound Sedona, we're delivering on our vision to create stays that are rooted in place, approachable by design, and connected to the outdoors." This initiative reflects a commitment to thoughtfully designed spaces that allow guests to immerse themselves in the landscapes around them.

As part of this expansion, Outbound Hotels is enhancing its strategic partnership with CoralTree Hospitality, which will now manage all existing Outbound properties, including the well-regarded Virginian Lodge in Jackson Hole, WY. This partnership is anticipated to drive sustainable growth and operational consistency for the brand, ensuring a seamless guest experience across all locations. CoralTree's expertise in scaling independent hospitality brands is critical for Outbound as it pursues this vision of outdoor-inspired lodgings.

The Outbound Yosemite property features a distinctive design led by One Union Studio, which integrates classic mountain lodge aesthetics with contemporary features, using materials and textures that reflect the surrounding landscape. Guests can expect inviting communal spaces, with the property including an expansive pool, hot tub, and over 5,000 square feet of event space for gatherings and wellness activities. Dining will be anchored by 'Juniper,' a restaurant managed by Folkart Management that promises a menu inspired by local ingredients and the area's vibrant cuisine.

Following the Yosemite opening, Outbound Sedona is set to launch in Q2 2026. Located near the striking red rock formations of Sedona, this property echoes the natural beauty surrounding it with modern Pueblo-inspired architecture. Comprising 138 rooms, Outbound Sedona will cater to various guests, with room options that include kings, bunk rooms, and luxurious suites. These accommodation choices may feature amenities like patios, fireplaces, and kitchenettes, enhancing the overall visitor experience.

A hallmark of Outbound Sedona is its centerpiece, 'Moonwater,' a two-tiered pool complex that encourages relaxation and enjoyment under the stars. Furthermore, the on-site restaurant 'Lucida' will serve a high-desert menu, infusing local flavors and ingredients while immersing guests in the essence of the Southwest.

As anticipation builds for these new openings, bookings for both Outbound Yosemite and Outbound Sedona will commence on November 3, 2025. This move signifies Outbound Hotels' commitment to reshaping the travel experience by prioritizing not just the destinations, but also the emotional connections made during stays.

With plans for additional destination-driven projects ahead, Outbound Hotels remains devoted to creating an environment where adventure meets comfort, assuring travelers that their journey into nature won't mean sacrificing modern amenities or the essence of true hospitality.
