MAHLE, a leader in thermal management technology, has teamed up with Infineon, a semiconductor giant, to tackle a significant challenge in the electronic systems realm: overheating during high current operations. For modern data centers, maintaining optimal temperature control is crucial for ensuring the efficiency and reliability of electronic components. This collaboration aims to develop advanced cooling units that significantly enhance the performance and lifespan of Infineon's new power module, the EasyPACK™ S.

The EasyPACK™ S module plays a vital role in controlling power systems within data centers, including power management systems. To cater specifically to the requirements set forth by Infineon, MAHLE has customized its cooling units to fit seamlessly with this innovative technology. The result is a product that not only meets but exceeds the performance metrics of existing models, showcasing MAHLE's cutting-edge cooling capabilities.

The new EasyPACK™ S module is distinguished by its compact yet powerful design, delivering high power density in a size comparable to two stacked chocolate bars. Direct installation onto circuit boards allows the cooling units developed by MAHLE to efficiently dissipate heat generated by the modules through a specialized cooling liquid, maintaining optimal operating conditions.

Demonstrating exceptional speed, the first prototypes of these cooling units were delivered in just four months, reflecting the strong collaborative efforts of both companies. Currently, these prototypes are undergoing testing and evaluation at Infineon, laying the groundwork for future innovations and reinforcing the partnership's potential for breakthrough advancements.

To enhance its operations beyond automotive, MAHLE has established a new division within its group sales department named Industrial & Special Solutions. This strategic move aims to consolidate its industrial activities, thereby improving outreach to new clients.
