Nymbus Appoints Aimee Ford as Chief Revenue Officer in 2026
In a strategic move to strengthen its leadership during a pivotal growth phase, Nymbus has appointed Aimee Ford as its Chief Revenue Officer (CRO). With a background deeply rooted in community banking, Ford is expected to apply her decades of expertise to enhance services and accelerate growth for Nymbus, a modern core banking platform tailored for U.S. banks and credit unions.
Aimee Ford's Expertise and Vision
Aimee Ford enters the role with an impressive history in the financial services sector. Prior to joining Nymbus, she served as the Head of Sales at a business process outsourcing firm that specialized in financial services and insurance. During her time there, she managed a diverse portfolio of 25 to 50 clients, giving her unparalleled insight into the operational challenges faced by community banks and credit unions.
Reflecting on her new position, Ford stated, "Joining Nymbus feels like coming full circle. I started my career as a teller in a credit union and have spent numerous years inside the very institutions Nymbus serves. I understand the pressure to drive deposit growth, lead dynamic teams, and compete effectively in an ever-evolving market. Nymbus provides the technology and services that empower community banks and credit unions to grow in ways we couldn’t have imagined before. I am excited to help unlock this potential across the industry."
Building on a Milestone Year
Ford’s appointment coincides with a significant milestone for Nymbus. In 2025, the company successfully executed the largest core conversion in community bank history with PeoplesBank. Additionally, it partnered with Michigan State University Federal Credit Union (MSUFCU) to transition two acquired community banks, Algonquin State Bank and McHenry State Bank, onto its new digital-first platform, Pillur. This progress has cemented Nymbus' reputation as a leader in modernizing the banking experience for community institutions.
Replacing Nate Whaley, who has announced his retirement from the CRO role, Ford is poised to continue the momentum that Whaley helped to establish. Whaley expresses confidence in Ford’s capabilities, remarking, "Aimee is exactly the right leader for this moment. She truly understands our clients—not just from a sales perspective, but as someone who has operated on their side of the table. The business is strong, and I am leaving this role with complete confidence in what comes next."
Looking Ahead
Jeffery Kendall, CEO and Chairman of Nymbus, emphasized that Ford’s involvement symbolizes the company’s commitment to pairing their market momentum with effective leadership that can scale its impact. "We've built something substantial at Nymbus—real growth and genuine outcomes for the organizations we serve. As we move into this next chapter, Aimee brings both the experience and ardent passion necessary to help us amplify our achievements and propel further growth," Kendall stated.
Founded in 2015, Nymbus provides an extensible, cloud-based full-stack banking platform that empowers community banks and credit unions to refine their operational efficiencies and expand their market reach. The platform modernizes legacy core systems, adapting to both traditional banking operations and digital-first institutions while creating opportunities for subsidiary brands with innovative financial services solutions.
As Nymbus continues to evolve and set benchmarks in the financial technology sector, the appointment of Aimee Ford marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter. With her leadership, the company is geared towards significantly enhancing its offerings and supporting the growth ambitions of its clients.
