Introducing the Holy Basil Face Mist 2025 by SHIRO
The latest addition to SHIRO's LIMITED SKINCARE line is here— the Holy Basil Face Mist 2025. This simple yet sophisticated beauty product captures the essence of freshly harvested holy basil, providing the skin with a refreshing touch as summer gives way to autumn. Part of SHIRO's signature '旬シリーズ' (Seasonal Series), this face mist embodies a desire to deliver seasonal ingredients to our skin just as we savor seasonal flavors.
Holy basil is renowned for its vibrant, sweet fragrance, and since introducing this ingredient in 2021, SHIRO has continuously refined the formulation to maximize its wonderful aroma. Initially created with dried holy basil, the company made a groundbreaking shift in 2023, recognizing that using freshly harvested basil for distillation captures its essence more effectively. This year, the Holy Basil Face Mist has taken a step further by utilizing only the distilled water from freshly harvested basil, resulting in an incredibly pure product.
As the harvest season envelops the basil fields, the air is filled with a luscious, sweet scent. This delightful fragrance has been beautifully encapsulated in the face mist, designed for a light and refreshing feel—perfect for the lingering warmth of late summer days. Experience a refreshing break as you envelop your skin and senses in the sweet, soothing aroma unique to this face mist.

The Story Behind Holy Basil
This marks the fifth consecutive year of holy basil's inclusion in SHIRO's Seasonal Series. Known for its refreshing sweetness, holy basil is an herb reaching its peak from early summer to autumn. This year, SHIRO focused on minimizing human intervention during manufacturing to ensure that the aromatic qualities of the herb are preserved as naturally as possible.
In addition to changing harvesting methods, which were expanded from previously focusing on the flowers to including the stems, SHIRO has altered the harvesting cycle from every two weeks to every three weeks or up to a month. This thoughtful adaptation allows for a production process aligned more closely with the natural growth cycle of the basil while reducing the burden on local farmers. With the inclusion of the stems, this year's formulation allows for a rich, green sweetness to permeate the scent.
Born of a commitment to emphasize the natural allure of the ingredient, the Holy Basil Face Mist 2025 encapsulates the farm's fresh air, offering a delightful experience that celebrates nature’s gifts.
