Exciting Announcement for the 2025 Utsunomiya Japan Cup Cycle Road Race!
From October 17 to 19, 2025, Utsunomiya, known as the City of Bicycles, will host the prestigious SUBARU LAYBACK presents the UTSUNOMIYA JAPAN CUP CYCLE ROAD RACE. This event is slated to attract top-tier cyclists from around the globe, making it a highlight on the cycling calendar. Recognized as Asia's foremost single-day road cycling event and the only UCI ProSeries race held in Japan, this race promises to deliver thrilling competition.
Over the course of these three days, spectators will be treated to live streams of the action, allowing fans near and far to connect with the experience. A total of 19 teams, featuring 114 cyclists, including some of the world’s leading UCI WorldTeams, will converge in Utsunomiya for this remarkable cycling event.

The lineup for this year's race is impressive, boasting participation from six elite UCI WorldTeams such as:

- - BAHRAIN VICTORIOUS (BRN)
- - COFIDIS (FRA)

Prominent cyclists like Jonathan Milan (ITA) from LIDL-TREK, who has made waves in the Tour de France, and Michael Matthews (AUS) from TEAM JAYCO ALULA, known for his prowess in both critérium and road races, will be among those competing. The race will also see national pride on the line, with Yuhi Todome (JPN), the only Japanese cyclist in a WorldTeam, alongside Yukiya Arashiro (JPN) from SOLUTION TECH VINI FANTINI, a celebrated figure in Japanese cycling.
