Daewoong Pharmaceutical's NABOTA Master Class: A Focus on Safety in Cosmetic Treatments

Daewoong Pharmaceutical recently hosted a highly successful event, the NABOTA Master Class (NMC) Spring 2026, in South Korea, underscoring the importance of safety as demand surges for high-dose, repetitive cosmetic treatments. Held from April 13 to 15, the three-day program drew 74 healthcare professionals from 13 countries, including participants from Brazil, Thailand, and Chile. The event took place across several venues, including the Mercure Seoul Magok, COEX Magok, Ewha Womans University Seoul Hospital, and Daewoong's Hyangnam manufacturing facility.

The NABOTA Master Class serves as a global educational platform aimed at equipping physicians with enhanced skills and encouraging academic exchange in the face of a growing appetite for botulinum toxin procedures. This year's theme, "SAFETY ON, BEAUTY ON," emphasized the safety and quality of PrabotulinumtoxinA through diverse activities, from scientific presentations to onsite tours. As the landscape of aesthetic treatments progresses towards more frequent and higher dosages, the significance of consistent safety has emerged as a pivotal aspect of clinical practices.

Participants engaged in a variety of educational sessions, including lectures centered on evidence and safety in botulinum toxin applications. Keynote speakers featured experts such as Dr. Hosung Choi from Lieul Clinic in Seoul and Dr. Wonwoo Choi from Wells Dermatology Clinic. They presented global trends and advanced injection techniques, discussing safety protocols associated with different botulinum toxin products. An engaging panel discussion was also led by Dr. Choonshik Yoon, incorporating insights from regional leaders in the field that spotlighted clinical case studies and treatment methodologies from various geographical areas, particularly Asia-Pacific and Brazil.

One of the standout components was the hands-on anatomy sessions facilitated by Professor Seung-Ho Han from Ewha Womans University. These sessions focused on improving injection accuracy and safety, using cadaver-based training to illustrate facial anatomy and specific injection points. Participants participated in live demonstrations, including 11 practical training exercises designed to enhance their expertise in using NABOLIFT and NABOGLOW, Daewoong's proprietary injection techniques.

NABOLIFT aims to enhance lifting and contouring by targeting specific muscle layers, while NABOGLOW focuses on improving skin texture via dermal layer injections. Feedback from attendees highlighted the significance of combining live demonstrations with practical training, enhancing their understanding and competence for real clinical settings. Dr. Hardiono Teddy Saputra, a participant from Indonesia, remarked on the program’s impactful format that provided practical insights applicable to their own practices.

Moreover, a tour of Daewoong's Hyangnam production facility showcased the advanced quality control measures and manufacturing processes vital to PrabotulinumtoxinA's reputation for safety and effectiveness. Attendees observed the aseptic production protocols and automated logistics systems in place, reinforcing the reliability of their cosmetic treatments.

Junsoo Yoon, head of NABOTA's division at Daewoong, reaffirmed the company’s commitment to safety, noting that the NMC was deliberately structured to reflect the core value of safety at every phase. Moving forward, Daewoong aims to bolster its competitive edge and leadership in the global market by developing unique educational platforms focused on botulinum toxin technologies and clinical acumen.
