Embark Welcomes Russell Weaver as Chief People Officer

Embark, a prominent management and financial consulting firm, has officially announced the appointment of Russell Weaver as their new Chief People Officer (CPO). With over 25 years of hands-on experience in the realms of recruitment and talent management across various global markets, Weaver is set to steer the company towards innovative talent strategies and workforce transformations.

In a statement regarding Weaver's appointment, Embark's CEO L. Felice Gorordo expressed confidence in Weaver's ability to enhance their human resource initiatives. Gorordo noted, "Russell's remarkable history of crafting and implementing world-class talent acquisition strategies at leading international organizations makes him ideally suited to guide our people function as Embark continues to grow."

Weaver's primary responsibilities will focus on leading Embark's talent acquisition efforts and overseeing the broader people strategy. This includes refining processes and integrating advanced technologies to promote efficiency, diversity, and quality in the firm's expanding workforce. His entry into the firm aligns perfectly with Embark's ambitious plans, which have seen the company grow to over 500 employees operating in 26 U.S. markets, with further expansion underway.

Prior to joining Embark, Weaver was the head of talent acquisition at Paramount, a prominent content provider, where he was responsible for the overarching recruiting strategy within the organization. Furthermore, he spent two decades at EY, building essential talent frameworks that high-growth professional services firms rely on. His return to a consulting environment is seen as an advantageous move at a critical juncture for Embark.

In discussing his attraction to Embark, Weaver mentioned the company’s momentum and its authentic commitment to its workforce. He stated, "I am excited to construct the talent infrastructure necessary to support this upcoming phase of growth and to nurture an environment where exceptional individuals can flourish in their careers." Weaver emphasized that it was not only the role and the prospect of growth that appealed to him but also the values demonstrated by the CEO and the wider team at Embark, highlighting a shared ethos of humanity and trust.

As he assumes his role, Weaver aims to harness the existing potential of Embark’s workforce while simultaneously attracting new talent to ensure that the firm continues to meet and exceed market expectations.
